Jessie Shay (she/her) is a social justice advocate who has tackled a number of equity issues in her career, including championing the rights of LGBTQ+ youth, transforming access to care for chronic illness patients, and empowering people to make their own choices about their health.

She is currently finishing her Doctorate of Social Work at the University of Southern California where she created Chronically Informed.

She earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Denver in 2012 with a focus on Leadership for Community and Organizational Practice and advocates for social justice issues for both herself and her community.

Jessie is a grateful, sober partner, dog mom, and cooking enthusiast.

She believes everyone deserves to be cared for, and that it’s each of our jobs to make sure that happens.
