Dr. Jessie Shay, DSW, MSW

Dr. Jessie Shay (she/her) is a social justice advocate who has tackled a number of equity issues in her career, including championing the rights of LGBTQ+ youth, transforming access to care for chronic illness patients, and empowering people to make their own choices about their health.

Dr. Shay has consulted for multiple organizations, including Chronically Informed, where she is currently the Executive Director, and the Youth PRIDE Coalition, where she is currently the Community Champion.

She earned her Doctorate of Social Work from the University of Southern California
in 2024 where she created Chronically Informed.

She earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Denver in 2012 with a focus on Leadership for Community and Organizational Practice and advocates for social justice issues for both herself and her community.

Jessie is a grateful, sober partner, dog mom, and cooking enthusiast.

She believes everyone deserves to be cared for, and that it’s each of our jobs to make sure that happens.
